Benefits of Physio led Pilates

Individualised Approach:

Our Physiotherapists take the time to listen and understand your individual physical conditions, limitations, and goals. With this information, we can then tailor your Pilates exercises to suit your specific needs, ensuring a safe and effective workout.

 Injury Rehabilitation:

Physio-led Pilates can be particularly beneficial for individuals recovering from injuries or surgeries. Our physiotherapist’s will then design an exercise program that will promote healing, strengthen injured areas, and improve range of motion without risking further damage.

Injury Prevention:

Our Physiotherapists can identify areas of muscle weakness and/or muscle imbalances that might predispose an individual to injuries. Through your tailored physio led Pilates routines, these weaknesses can be addressed, reducing the risk of future injuries. Keep you going for longer.

Mind-Body Connection:

At human repair shop we really value how Pilates places significant emphasis on the mind-body connection, encouraging you to focus on breath control, concentration, and mindfulness during exercises. Allowing you to become more in tune with your body,  identify areas of weakness or tension, enabling you to address potential imbalances and prevent injuries before they occur.

Core Strength and Stability = Posture Improvement:

Poor posture can lead to various musculoskeletal problems and pain. Our physiotherapists can identify your postural issues and design a physio-led Pilates exercises to help correct alignment problems, strengthen weak muscles, and improve overall posture, core strength and stability

I was there today for a running technique assessment. Orla was so thorough and knowledgeable in her ability to diagnose my issues and show me the exercises to fix it. She and Tony didn't try to upsell me, they didn't need to Their professionalism and kindness is enough, they clearly love what they do, and want their clients to be healthy and happy. 5 stars!

Treatment at The Human Repair Shop is commendable. Tony and Orla always have a wide smile to greet their patients, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. After detailed & appropriate questioning, physio Orla Cunningham targets each problem with obvious professionalism. Her techniques surely improve the patient's blood circulation which in turn reduce muscle tension and general fatigue. Suggested exercises are an integral part of her approach. You invariably leave the Human Repair Shop feeling refreshed and rejuvenated ... and receive a warm "Goodbye".

Orla & Tony have created a charming and relaxing physio/pilates/wellness studio. I had met Orla previously in a physio capacity and she is outstanding. Orla mixes it up in the Pilates classes so you never get bored. I feel fantastic after a class. Would highly recommend Human Repair Shop.

I feel exceptionally fortunate to have found Orla to help me recover from a trimalleolar ankle fracture. I was 6 months pregnant when I broke my ankle and didn't realise how much I needed a physio who was not only clinically exceptional but also incredibly thoughtful, considerate and professional. Orla and Tony have created a brilliant community and genuinely care for their clients, I cannot recommend the Human Repair Shop more highly.
